Confession: I’m lazy. The good kind. The kind that hunts down the shortest path to the best result and calls it a day. It’s honestly one of my better traits.
It also falls apart the second my budget walks into the room.
I love spending. I hate tracking it. I had the Excel sheet, same as everyone, and same as everyone, I ghosted it. Open it, update it for two days, forget it exists. Rinse, repeat.
So one day I figured: what if I built something in Claude to do the babysitting for me?

I gave it the whole picture. Not just the numbers, but how my brain actually works with money. How I run each category. And especially the “fuck it” moments, when I stop counting and just spend. I told it about those too.

I can say “I really want this thing I don’t need,” and instead of judging me, it helps me talk myself back down. We even scheme on savings together.
Honestly, Félix is the bouncer at the door of my wallet. Some purchases just aren’t getting in tonight.
And here’s the kicker. I didn’t code a single thing. I just talked to it, the way I’m talking to you right now. I told it who to be, how I actually operate, where I tend to slip. Then it ran with it.
But don’t buy the two-minute-miracle version, because that’s not what this was. I put in the time. I wanted it dialed in, matched to exactly how I work, not just close enough. That’s the part nobody mentions. I did the work once, properly, and it’s paid me back every day since.
Which is my laziness at its finest, really: do it right one time so future-me never has to think about it again.

There’s no magic trick here. Just a tool I bothered to explain my actual life to, instead of cramming my life into a template built for someone else.
